For the information of worldwide viewers, this is a combined version of polka and balse or the polka and waltz. This dance came from the province of Tayabas(now Quezon) and was danced during social gatherings. Polka and waltz were the popular dances of the Philippines during the Spanish regime up to now. Filipinos make combination of the two dances where the tempo of polka music is still there but doing some fast waltz in some figures. There must be boys here in the original dance
