The Promise, Payoff, and Ethics of Genomic Research

Arthur T. Sands, cofounder, president, and CEO of Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, explains how genomics is aiding drug research. John W. Belmont, professor of molecular and human genetics at Baylor College of Medicine, describes the development of a personal-medical genomic profile. Amy L. McGuire, associate director for research at the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine, explores ethical issues around genomic research.
