there's nothing with nazis involved.. originally the movie was much longer, but goebbels censored the beginning of the film where the film showed the secret rocket research at peenemünde.
later the nazis actually forbid him to do motion pictures after speaking out negatively on goebbels and the nazis. luckily he didn't got executed for it.
he was a hobby astronomer with one of the biggest private observatorys so why shouldn't he have done a film about his vision of the future
