@megamanj2004X I've also just found out that the last episode of The New Alfred Hitchcock Presents from Summer 1989 (long after Coach debuted) used the '82 jingle, though it used the MCA TV logo.
-
@TheJoc0 not quite. The pilot episode of "Coach" surprisingly used the 1982 Universal TV jingle, instead of the 1987 (technically 1986, since mid-S3 eps. of Miami Vice 1st used it as early as Dec. 1986) Universal TV jingle.

This is seen in Earthquake.

@DrAss2001 No, the UA-vignette is the scariest ever, plays like the cellar of a serial killer... Search for "UA intro theme"

@TheJoc0 I always found the Universal Television 80's logo to be very enjoyable and quite pleasant. Paramount's 80's Big Blue Mountain logo was very scary because of the orchestra that was supplied by Lalo Schifrin in the background and the cursive writing of the words Paramount Television that also matched the scary musical background.

Big Blue as in Paramount Television 1986 is the scariest logo music in TV history!

@sweetbabae12 Believe it or not, this variant was also used on the final episode of show titled "Simon Says Goodbye," which aired in early 1989. You could watch it on Netflix for proof. That would make "Simon & Simon" the last series to used the '82 jingle.

@LPOSLA That's funny because the 80s Paramount logo never frightened me, but this logo scared the shit out of me as a kid. The scariest logo IMO was a little-known logo called "From MCA Television," which I discovered a few years ago. From my understanding, it only appeared on a 1990-ish sci-fi show called "Probe."
This variant appears on "Simon & Simon"
