When I first saw this promo, believe me, I was shocked to find it even existed. With lots of hit records, promos certainly do exist but they're darn near impossible to find in any sort of condition. This one is a nice VG+ copy, and I'm glad it's part of my collection. As you can hear, it is the version of the song with hand claps (there are two versions and I believe both were issued on 45s). Enjoy!

    And also on this day in 1962 Little Eve's "Loco-motion" peaked at #1 {for 1 week} on Billboard's Hot Top 100, a song she co-wrote with Gerry Goffin...

    The song would make the Top 10 two more times; in 1974 Grand Funk Railroad took it #1 and then in 1988 Kylie Minogue peaked at #3 with it...

    On this day in 1962 {July 15th} Little Eva performed "The Loco-Motion" on the late Dick Clark's American Bandstand...

    About two weeks earlier on June 30th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; and on August 25th it peaked at #1 {for 1 week} and spent 16 weeks on the Top 100 chart...

    And twelve years later in 1974 Grand Funk Railroad's covered version also reached #1 {for 2 weeks}

    Sadly; Little Eva passed away on April 10th, 2003 at the young age of 59...

    R.I.P. Ms. Boyd and Mr. Clark
