We went to see Erykah at the Ottawa Bluesfest, she was scheduled to play from 8pm to 9:30 pm. By 8:30 the crowd was booing, by 8:35 half the audience had given up and started to go find seats at other shows. It was after 8:45 when she finally deigned to make an appearance,. She scowled at the audience when she took the stage. We left too. Talk about pathetic. I lost all respect for the woman. Talk about an overstuffed ego.

i luv this woman. I always try to see musicans when they first start in small venues. Sometimes, stars come back & just blow it up with good spirit. I saw busta, musiq, C. moore (sexy), j scott, destiny child, envogue, LL, S. mills @ the grind & promoting stage. I remember igging boys handing out flyers 2 a show becuz i was late for lunch & they were avg. men. Years later, the clock wearing & the jeri curl guys from the W.Coast blew Rap UP! Who knew..lol

People got life and bs confused. Who cares if her afro is fake or real? It's one of the best symbols for African American empowerment. Nothing wrong with being black. Black is beautiful.
