Night Light was a great insomniac and nocturnal lovers' staple of the 80's and the last thing I remember watching on USA network. Thanks for the Tom clip.

says this was aired in 91 but I swear seeing it much earlier than that, this was the interview that turned me onto tom waits and i've been an avid fan since. i believe i was about 16 when i saw this originally which would be around 86 not 91...

That could very well be. The tape I took this from was definately from a 1991 show--when Night Flight became syndicated, not on USA Network. Maybe they did alot of "repackaging" for those shows.
