  • i do find that when you live out here in spain most of the old retired british ppl have nothing better to do than gossip about others is it just me or do other ppl have any knowledge of this happing especially on the urbs???......

  • I must say that I did notice this very much so whilst living in France. Most people do not have a lot to do with themselves hence them involving themselves in other peoples lives and talking about them. In Spain, when I lived there (Villamartin) I didn't notice that much of it, though I didn't social that much. France definately notorious for expat community gossiping with back stabbing comments.

  • Some people just need to get a life it realy is pissing me off!!!!!!,Villamartin i know it very well im living in a place called los montesinos maybe you have heard of it???

  • yes, i did some filming there three years back. Villamartin isn't as nice, it lacks atmosphere and character. Enjoyed my time in Spain, but really 7 months there was as much as we could take. Now back in UK (Suffolk) and enjoying things more.... Though do miss the weather immensley! :o)

  • why was 7 months all you could take its not that bad is it?????maybe you could explain your troubles????could help a fellow expat out!!!!!

  • Depends on your reason for moving there, but generally speaking you can cope with any holiday for a week or two, there after you always become bored and miss home. This is what occurs out in that area for it is a holiday area and all services are geared towards it so you either sun yourself, swim, lay on beach etc.... it becomes boring! No real social life for standards aren't great. Euro has killed the tourism market, so business is flat. Public services are next to nothing etc, etc...

  • Have you seen a dwarf there

  • Nice Video!

  • Think we filmed this May time, 2007. Chris :o)

  • My aunt owns a villa on Caille Hita. What time of year did you film this cos usually the sun beams down on you and it is alive with children and sellers shouting "Looky Looky!" and the Numa Numa song can always be heard.
