@RELubber You are right, he does say Max Schmeling. Talkies came out in 1927, though.
-
@MIKESOWELL He says "Max Schmeling", not Gene Tunney. Talkies didn't come out until 1929-1930.
-
@dougcapehart From the reference of Gene Tunney being the heavyweight champion in this clip, this must be at least 1926.....Ruth was more in the 230ish range right here. By the early 1930s, he was over 250 pounds.

The Babe's personality is pretty well illustrated in this short clip. He would have been a hell of a guy to hang out with.
-
@Immaculate416 They always said he had sort of celery stick legs, but in my opinion, I think it was just that his upper body was so tremendously big, it makes his legs (which were probably very large in their own right) look disproportionately small.

The other guy must be like 5 feet tall. The Babe was only 6'2", 215

Its an observation, kinda like the one that your a prick that trolls for comments online because your a lonely faggot with nothing else to do.

fantastic book
Jeez, this footage has got to be the best example of just how massively big and strong The Babe was and it STILL probably doesn't do him full justice! What a powerhouse that man was!!
