2002 World Cup Ireland Highlights

Since France cheated Ireland out of a 2010 World Cup place, you might as well enjoy Ireland's last excursion at the World Cup in Japan/South Korea 2002. Ireland were knocked out on penalties by Spain in the last 16. Ireland would certainly have given more in South Africa that the lame French team.

Watched this after WC 2014 groups were announced. We shouldve gone so much further. We shouldve beaten Spain and then we'd be facing South Korea. But what a team back then. Young Duffer and Keane. Had players like Roy Keane [pity him and mick fell out :( ] and Holland in their prime. Quality players like Given, Quinn, Stan, Finnan, Steve Carr and so on. Hopefully this next crop of Irish players can be great [meyler,mcCarthy,stokes,long,c­larke,mcGeady,westwood etc].
