This fan isn't that old, but it's a good powerful fan that doesn't exist anymore. It was made back when Lakewood had quality. I would've did this video in a window, but after I moved the windows aren't big enough to support it. I brought this fan from a hardware store some time in 1998-2001. I don't think Lakewood even makes window fans anymore.

  • Where can I buy this one? Mine JUST - I mean JUST died this morning.

  • @mamatude33 Would be hard to find one now. Try asking on the afca or dt forums if anyone has one they would part with. If that fails, there's always the Air King 9166 if you don't mind the price tag.

  • Is there like a group of people that are relly into fans or something? My son loves them, and I am just wondering if there are a lot of people who do.

  • Yep. You have Dangerous Taco Forums and Antique Fan Collectors Association.

  • I have an older 1980's or 1990's lakewood HV-18 freestanding air circulator with original blue samsung motor and bades! Great fan!

  • Cool.

  • I have one in Massachusetts for sale....mekjunk@gmail.com

  • that window fan sounds powerful.

  • thats a cool fan. to bad lakewood went under.

  • @musiclvr7289 Yea. I don't like the Laskos! It's mostly plastic and the room has to be big or a 2nd window must be opened for proper air flow

  • Damn yo. No wonder I couldn't find a fan like that!

  • Seems the 22" took 350w of power so they cut it down to 170w about with a bit smaller fans. It's as if if you can afford the extra electricity then you suddenly spend a lot more on air conditioning instead ie. big class division gap and lots of mental laziness

  • May 11th, 2009 Lakewood Engineering and Mfg. Company closed their doors. Thank walmart for that
