I will miss her terribly!
I never realized how much of an influence she had on me until I heard she was gone.
On a personal note, when I was quite depressed and suffered from mono, what kept me going was my audio cassette recordings of MAUDE, which I recorded using my one speaker tape player and my small B&W tv with the antennae.
TRUE story, The force and strength she brought lifted me up and gave me courage.
RIP darling. You did this life well.

What a great lady and great talent. Her comedy timing was one of the best. She naturally knew the beats to get a laugh and that she could, always get a laugh. I loved her. She reminded me of my mother, my mother had that type of personality especially the Maude character. You are loved Beatrice Arthur you are loved. And what an appropriate song on this video. Bea giving us advice for living. A great lady and talent.

I cried watching this, OMG! her perfomance was so touching, and moving! :) I still can't believe she is gone, she was an amazing actress. Bea was truly an original, we will never see another actress like her again. I am sure Bea is in good company up in heaven with Rue and Estelle, LOVE ALL OF YOU GIRLS, :)

Where did you find this? It's really sweet. I can't believe someone else "audio taped" MAUDE! I noticed that in another comment. Thank you for posting this. I'm waiting for TVLand to rebroadcast Maude, and the rest of the 5 seasons to come out on DVD.

I have not seen such skillful editing done on a TV network for something of this nature in a long time.
This is just the way TV used to commemorate & honor such legends!

Thank you - I wish I had more clips to pull from for the montage, but I wanted to get it posted as soon as I could. I also miss when television had a less "in your face" style and showed a little more elegance in presentation - but at least people still appreciate shows like Maude and The Golden Girls, so all is not lost... Thank God for tape!
