That was the Old Law...the New Testament is in force now.

It's so obvious that the reason you Christians worship a dead Jewish dude named Jesus is that he's so much nicer, well-behaved, moral, loving, forgiving and caring than the maniac god described in the OT.
So the OT serves to show you what an asshole god is; so you are glad to have someone rescue you from that god.
Just because the NT improves on the OT, DOES NOT MEAN that the OT laws were EVER moral or good laws. The verses above aren't moral today, nor were they moral 2000+ years ago either.

The bible teaches that when a father sells his daughter as a slave, she must be a slave for life. [Exodus 21:7-11] A hebrew is not permitted to own another hebrew male as a servant for more than 6 years. [Exodus 21:2]
Your god's treatment of women in his bible is obviously discriminatory.

Gal. 3:28 expresses the grand truth that in Christ, the false and sinful basis of male/female hierarchy has been abolished, so there is no legitimate distinction, in God's kingdom, between female and male. Full male/female equality is restored, dignity is given back to women, and servant attitudes are called for in men and women alike.

Quoting a positive sounding bible verse doesn't undo the damage of a bunch of negative verses. All it shows is the bible is a mixed up book: it's got a few good ideas and morally acceptable ideals... but it is also full of really bad ideas and morally bankrupt ideals (such as slavery, racism, sexual discrimination, commands to kill children etc.)
Why didn't your god have the balls to make his OT as fair to women as this isolated verse in NT? Even in NT women are not allowed to speak in church
