CCEFP-Virtual Excavator

The CCEFP Virtual Excavator at Georgia Institute of Technology. This device is used to simulate an excavator's dynamics and the operator's environment while testing the performance of traditional excavating tasks. High-fidelity testing on the interaction between the human operator, the operator interface and machine hardware is also possible. The Virtual Excavator can be configured to operate with either traditional industrial joysticks, electronic joysticks or Phantom haptic controllers as shown in this video.
