www.readreidread.com The second section of "Mechanical Bliss" is called "Modern Dance" and features two pieces of undancing with an expressionist influence in the exaggerated monochrome and the looming shadows, again illumined with a slide projector plus two spotlights. In the first dance, the "rubbing" dance, two reticent and somnambulistic figures merge with each other and their shadows as they cross a bleak landscape. The music, called Do the 666, is by Quintet. Shot in 3/4 inch video tape at Arthur Street Gallery, Winnipeg, Canada, 1980
