Target is offering to send you coupons via your phone, so that you can use when you are at the store. No coupons to carry, clip etc. Just pull up on your phone at the register and the cashier can scan! Pretty Cool!
I am writing my bachelor thesis right now and I was in desperate need of some information about mobile coupons. Target is, as far as I know, the first retailer to offer these coupons nationwide, right?
I've got like two questions and it'd be awesome if you could help me out:
1. What if I dont have a smartphone. What do the text messages look like since there is no barcode?
2. Do they have a special scanner at the point of sale or do they use the usual ones?
@Lunatic4ever Yes, you can sign up with a non "smartphone", they send you the link to go online to retrieve the coupons.. Target is the first scannable mobile coupons, but there are many other mobile coupons for phones. Yes, the cashier will scan the coupon for you with their scanners... If they don't have scanners they can input the code manually..
I hope this answers your questions and best of luck with your thesis!
