Me playing Somewhere over the Rainbow on my 29 string Minstrel Harp. May 24'th 2008. Sorry for the wind(it really got gusty after I set up for the video) I'm hoping to record it again. Also...I learned this just yesterday, all my myself and by ear...So if it is not completely accurate, you'll know why. :-)

  • Wow, what kind of harp do you have?

  • This one is a 29 string minstrel harp(easily purchased nearly anywhere online) I sold it when I moved however, and upgraded to a Lyon and Healy "Ogden" which is a MILLION times nicer(And MUCH harder to get your hands on, and much more expensive!!) Totally worth it though! Haha.. ;-) This was a good beginners harp though. :-)

  • Too bad its windy. YOu should play at a Renaissance fair or something. you look like a fairy. 8D

  • Thankyou!!!! :-)

  • Not bad considering- and makes for a nice setting...

Is a shame about the wind.

  • No unfortunately! This was recorded in WA. I wish I lived in Hawaii though. :-P

  • Nice playing indeed, you seem like a professing girl. don't take offense if you are, you'll know what I mean and if you are not, it wouldn't matter to you that I commented this.

All the best to you in your future.

  • Pure and wonderful, Angels come on the wind to play the harp.

  • I know you wanted to make it look nice outside but all video cams are sensitive to wind :(

btw, it did look great you look like a cherub :)

    sounded even better

  • Classy

  • Just need a general cover in the direction of the wind is all. Other than that, this was really good. :)

And I have headphones, so the wind is pretty up in my ears.

  • @maplesquirrel i have a harp from the same company that did the same with the levers. they just slowly shreded the strings. :)

  • it is a shame about the wind, however... there were a few nice bird chirps in there. Looks just like a fairy tale!!!

  • I expected about half way through for wings to sprout from her back and for her to fly away with a ray of sunshine following her..

  • it looks so fairtyalish... haha :)

  • Joanna Newsom-ish! I love it-the birds chirping, your beautiful hair, the nature, your harp...all so lovely *applauds*
