Joe Puerta, Mike Keneally, and David Cutler Lewis are 3 Grammy Winners performing with Jason Harrison Smith, Ambrose "Buck" Splecia and Brian Asher as "Sunken City". This legendary event at Sacred Grounds, a San Pedro coffee shop showcased Joes outstanding song writing talent with brand new material arranged together with classic Ambrosia stuff. This particular video features 2 songs. "Cowboy Star" from Ambrosia's 2nd album is segued with "Fool Like Me" another of Joes beautiful ballads from Ambrosia's.LP Road Island. Pay special attention during the synth solo to Mike playing piano and bass at the same time. It is AMAZING

  • I was there, a fab show. But the segued song is actually called "Fool Like Me" from Ambrosia's 5th LP, "Road Island". Love the Keneally double play on keys & tap-bass. Will there be more video from any Sunken City shows?

  • @Yo2oob thanks... I knew that. Corrected. So do you have any requests? We don't do Freebird or margaritaville.

  • Wow, he still sounds like the record recording. This is GREAT!

  • Absolutely, one of the hottest shows ever... never to be repeated???. Got any more footage prepared?

Mine needs to be converted. Thanks Yap, p

  • Joe is a Monster bassist/vocalist and a fantastic songwriter. If you can catch 'Ambrosia' when they perform, do it ! You will be amazed by their talent.

  • This wasn't a rock album, it was a very special limited engagement by Ambrosia's Joe Puerta and several of his musical San Pedrans. The dude on the Roland syth/electric piano? None other than the highly-regarded vocalist/guitarist Mike Keneally (Zappa, Vai, Kevin Gilbert, Beer for Dolphins and others). I was there and it was pure magic! Thanx Mr. Hicks for posting this slice of history.

  • talk about underrated bands, this is one ot the best progressive rock albums ever!
