Are you looking to upgrade from that clunky dial-up connection to high-speed Internet access? Find out who comes out on top when DSL and Cable go head-to-head.
@BlackwingDragon DSL though you don't have to share with your neighbors! First off DSL is very secure, I have had cable in the past and Cable really sucks! I will stick with DSL because it is very reliable, Last September we went through Hurricane Irene.. Our phones were down but the internet was up!
Cable internet is usually more reliable, too. DSL tends to be wonky and have...bizarre things happen. They can also be scary slow if the phone lines are ever knocked down or damaged.
Most cable internet providers use special, sturdy wiring and \ or rooftop relays [ on apartments] to circumvent the problem of damage - or atleast resist it.
I've had DSL before. It was an awful experience. Switching to Cable though, it's fast, responsive, reliable and all I have to do is just plug in a wire =3
@BlackwingDragon I have not lost any speed!! I get 21 Mbps down and 3 Mbps Up!
