Beth Masten joined the Journalism That Matters convening in Detroit June 3-10 because of her position as national director of New Routes the Community Health. The program, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, seeks to support media creation which in turn supports healthy immigrant communities. Based in Madison, Wis., Masten explains why she came and what she learned in this three-minute discussion with Journalism That Matter's Bill Densmore. A particular interest area for Masten: Studying whether an "unconference" approach to meeting works. More: http://www.jtmdetroit.org / http://newroutes.org
