The Cosby Show was and still is one of the greatest sitcoms in television history. It ran for 8 seasons from 1984-1992.

In this episode:
Cliff surprises Clair by finishing her room earlier than expected. Although it doesn't yet have furniture, Clair is thrilled to finally have some privacy.

@BlazerLT just my opinion, i know a lot of people identify with the show from watching it back in the day, and i did like it, but it was good for its time, which is what i have realized from watching it now, hell, not just cosbys, there are a bunch of shows that just get corny overtime.....seinfeld and jeffersons are a few that remain timeless classics to me...once again just my opinion, to another cosby might b the best since sliced bread, to me its corny

@Hoching03 Ur right. Perhaps it's not considered "cool" but true family values are and always will be classic. Believe it or not those "corny" values are coming back in a big, big way sooner than later. Then we will get back 2 real living rather than just surviving and subsisting the way society is now. @el84oro I agree with you to a certain extent on the show being corny. It seems corny now because the material that they are showing on television has changed. Networks now are showing shows that are designed to shock the audience by breaking the normal social values like the ones being shown on "reality" TV. Back then, shows like the Cosby Show was designed to promote family values and to educate the public on real family issues. That type of programming is not considered "cool" now.

damn i cant lie the cosby show is kinda corny.....dont mean to offend anyone, its freedom of speech, used to watch it as a kid and of late ive been watching a lot of d episodes on youtube jus to let time fly......creative show but corny, in my opinion, so please im not trying to be disrespectfull cos on youtube if u dont like sumfin everyone keeps sending hate messages to ure email.

For some reason they hardly play this episode in syndication, so when I did see it in syndication it was a shock. It was like a lost episode. Then when it ended, I felt pretty sad because then I realized I'd never see another "new" Cosby Show episode again.

How did Cliff build that room without Clair not knowing? I know he told her earlier in the season that he'd build her a room, but then Sondra and Elvin moved back in. So it was forgotten. But here she acts so surprised. Didn't she hear/see the carpenters at work and whatnot?
