Super-8mm film of the geography field trip I went on to Wales when in the sixth form. It was freakishly hot the whole week, during the Easter hols.
I expect this to be of interest to no one other than ex-Bryanston School pupils and fans of the Brecon Beacons.
After this trip, we all went straight back to school and threw our sweaty clothes into the laundry baskets, not knowing that it would be six weeks before we saw any of them again. I remember that my last pair of socks was so rank that even tight leather shoes couldn't keep the smell in.
I have identified the following people for certain:
Paul "Horizon Man" George (jumps off cliff, also bopping in van on left and taking photograph of Merthyr Tydfil)
Henrietta "Bubbles" Allen (reveals Merthyr Tydfil)
Katherine Reid (bounds joyously towards camera, also in last shot)
Tim Scoones (bopping in back of van - now works as a wildlife documentary maker)
Dave Allen (bopping in van in sunglasses on right, now with RAF)
Rosanna Friedberger (walking away from camera)
James "Jimme" Robinson (raises hand at end, also standing shirt-off in river)
Chloe Jolowicz (takes fright at end, with big rucksack)
Sarah Lawson (also at end, plus doing river measurements)
John Potts (bopping in van on left, behind Paul George)
Mr Whittaker (in tight jeans with video camera)
Mr Weatherly (being videoed and standing at end in front of van on left)
Mr Bourne (driving van and standing near cwm edge)
I can make a few tentative guesses at others, and would be happy for people to suggest names for the unidentified:
Katie Arnander (coming down stairs to hotel)
Adrian Davidson (far left corner of minibus, between Scoones and Potts)
Tobin Lambert (shirtless, back to camera, might be Iain Krystoviak or possibly Simon Upton?)
Philippa Davies (behind Dave Allen in van)
Aiden Bell/Alex Quennell (on stairs to hotel near end)
I appreciate that a low-res MPEG file like this makes it a lot harder to identify people. It's a lot easier with the original film.

For you, quite possibly, but there is a chance that this video wasn't aimed at you.
What? Even the bit with Rosanna's bum?

Brilliant! the bearded geography teacher (mr Bourne) was still there when I was at bryanston 98-03. Great guy, and still has the beard i think.

He was the first person I recognised when I went to a reunion at the school in 2005, and his beard was grey but otherwise he was exactly the same, and showed no interest in me whatever. He didn't even look at me when I called out his name. He will appear soon again on YouTube in plus fours...
