The hub itself is IP30 (not waterproof). We do offer weatherproof enclosures and IP67 USB cables. With those, you can put together a solution that gets you the temp, environmental and ingress rating you need for virtually any outdoor location. Give our support team a call at 815.433.5100 and they’ll be able to spec out a solution for you.

Our high retention USB connector surpasses the 15 NM pull force required by UL for Class 1 Div 2 environments. Class 1 Div 2 applies to the product however, not just the connector. Many B&B products have been UL certified to Class 1 Div 2, you can find the certifications on the data sheets for the individual products that have been qualified at bb-elec.com.

Is that UL rating for the USB connection for Class 1 Div 2 areas?
