this is not a deleted scene. when i first saw devdas after it was released....this scene was in the movie as well.

May be they deleted this scene in some European versions because long drawn-out emotional scenes are difficult to watch for people with fast paced life in West. Besides being emotional is also a negative trait in west. So they just adapted it to their client base.

Hey i fully noticed that too, i have two versions of devdas on dvd (both original) one is the collectors edition in the black box which has this scene on it and differnt background score especially the running scene at the end. The sing disk dvd i have is very much similar to the theatrical version i saw and the running scene background score is much better on that one...
