I can't blame some of the people who feel like picking on BYD's cars, the reason being?
The Chinese people have somehow managed to veil themselves with notoriety for producing products that have subpar quality -- dangerous to be exact, melamine in milk products, poisonous paint in toys, things that break easily, etc.. It's natural for Americans to react that way, actually majority of the world population feels the same way.
The Chinese people ruined their image, they should learn how to fix it

The body & suspension is copied from Toyota Corolla 2000 till 2006
The Engine is Mitsubishi
This car is being assembled here in Egypt for local use only (From Chinese components except for seats & glass are made in Egypt)
It is selling very good specially for taxi as it proved to be durable.
