This was filmed at a Club called On Broadway in Southie in 1985 just a short time before the club had a huge fire. The song was 'Everytime you go Away' by Paul Young. The band had gone through a few changes since the original band, but nyself Mike Quigley on Bass, Bernie Nania on Drums and Mark Morris were still the original members still in the band. Leo Stapleton had taken Greg Bodell's spot on Lead Guitar and both John Baker on Guitar and Sax and Kenny Morrel had replaced Gus Wright in those area's. The band, with this line up, was featured on a Boston TV show called Rising Stars and went on to play for another 20 years with eventually Mark Morris being the only original member. Still, I will never forget trying for months to get into The Peir Nightclub just to play there, and as it turned out, we ended up being the House Band with a full house every time we played there. We were a regular attraction at the club 'On Braodway' as well a few other clubs in and around the Boston area including the South Shore area. Ah, memories. I am glad I caught some of the band on video tape. The quality may not be great, but it was all we had at the time.
Feel free to also search 'Quigfest' to see what I have been up to in the last few years. Still Rockin and Rollin in my 50's. Livin the Dream.
