I like the instrumentals for this version better than CT's, and I liked how there was harmony, but I have to say I prefer Paul Byrom singing better.

And btw, Phil Coulter (who is amazing) arranged both The Celtic Tenors' and Celtic Thunder's version, so I don't think one would be more 'manufactured and studio-like' than the other.

And btw, Phil Coulter wrote this song especially for The Celtic Tenors, who give, in this video, a genuine and heart-felt performance. Since this was an open-air show, it must be less a studio-like performance than the other, surely? Have Celtic Thunder ever performed in the open-air, with just one person performing the instrumentals?

I'm going to their show Saturday night, December 3rd. I don't know if they will sing this since it is supposed to be a Christmas show. I am a Celtic Thunder/Paul Byrom fan, but I do not believe in knocking other artist. I believe two people can sing a song and be different, but equal in quality. I love Ryan Kelly's Desperado, but still love the Eagle's version also.

I have heard them sing this live and it was stunning, whoever was in charge of the sound at this concert let them down I think... echos and sound jumps all over the place, its awful to hear them like this. Although I know they can perform & sing very well, Celtic Thunder are head of the game for sure-they are UNBELIEVABLE vocalists, especially if your lucky enough to see them live!! :)

Must we compare those that choose to entertain us. I am not interested in your judgments. Anyone qualified to pass judgment on all of these voices has too much class to lower themselves to such rude behavior. All of these voices that we hear singing this beautiful song are outstanding. .

I worked with these guys when they came to my city. Haha we are such a small town that it was just me and one other person as the "backstage crew" -- These guys are great. Amazing singers and great people. You should hear their warm ups...
