This is the only recent production of the Ring that I would consider watching. (The La Scala Die Walküre works but not the rest of that Ring.) I was emotionally moved by these excerpts of the Ring from Seattle. But I doubt that I would be able to make it to Seattle to see this. And probably the Seattle Ring will never be recorded on a DVD.
But at least I now have hope that the story of Wagner's masterpiece will not be destroyed by the trash that we see in almost all modern productions.

I hope they bring out a DVD of this production. It is a great cast

Seattle opera prod. are not bad/not good based on this look--like the sets--but the costumes are from 50 different periods. STill, much better than the LA Ring and its weirdo Chereau crap. Luckily, as has been said before, you can't kill WAgner's immortal music no matter how lunatic the production is.

J'espère qu'ils le sortiront en DVD. Enfin une bonne mise en scène. Très bon Hagen. Bon Siegfried... On aurait que des chanteurs comme ça et des mises en scène comme ça on serait content. Bonne Brunnhilde...
Juste ce qu'il faut.
