Not very pretty...

Wasps get drowned in the splendid jammy water...but it avoids poisoning the environment.

Anybody found a better way ?

  • They get the cheapest jam... but they love it... and they die in it...

Otherwise.... they can sting us :(

  • Answer - very old home-made strawberry jam. And other kinds of jam. Plus some water...It needs to be gooey so it's like swimming in treacle :)

  • They're in the jam? Eww.

  • Left two of these on the shed roof. A month later there were literally hundreds of wasps in them, it was like a bee holocaust.

  • ITS A MASSACUR!

  • yup, mix water, borax and sugar, three naturally non-toxic things, unless you consider other insects, put a jar of it near a wasp nest for a day or so and take it away, the nest will be dead in a week or so.

  • Wow it looks like the wasps are trying to drown themselves... What did you put in the jar? :)
