@BMWLDRider add the garlic when youve cooked the bacon to "almost" done and allow it to flavour the fat

I'm not sure about the garlic and cream but I'll give it a try.
If you fry the bacon with the garlic until crispy you run the risk of very bitter garlic so I'm not sure how I'm going to get around that.

@eli297 are people not allowed to improvise and put their own twist on traditional recipes? We can find traditional recipes all over the place, I like the way his variation looks.

@TheOnlyMuffydarling Heck that's how I cook in my house. Things end up being "Fusion". Buffalo Chicken (American), Thai curry yellow rice (Thai), then beans, salsa and tortillas (Mexican). Comes out most delicious.
There is nothing like Carbonara. That is the best tasting comfort dish there is. bacon, eggs, cheese, spaghetti, what more do you want?
