This is the first descent of Fugate Creek in Harlan county Kentucky. I scouted it the day before after about .22 inches of rain. The drops were good but the rest was way to low. That night we got about and inch of rain, which put the creek at an optimum flow. I drove up the hollow and put in below a landslide. The creek was flowing nicely, a LOT of wood. I had to portage strainers the whole way down. If the wood was gone, this creek would be amazing. Hopefully we can get all the wood out, and put this creek on another level.

  • We got the wood out of the first three drops, but the rest is still kind of choked up. There are lines through all of it, but the wood makes it super sketchy.
