The very latest in the Celestron line is the Celestron EdgeHD - an Aplanatic Schmidt optical system that produces pinpoint star images all the way to the edge of the field. Some optical systems currently on the market may produce coma free images. But there is a difference.... the optical difference. Not only is the Celestron EdgeHD telescope coma free, but it also has a built in field flattener to ensure sharp focus all the way to the edge of the field, producing true Astrograph quality images. This results in pinpoint, High Definition star images throughout your astro photograph! These superior features combined with the Celestron CGE Pro and CGEM mounts make the new Celestron EdgeHD series the new gold standard in Astro Imaging and the system of choice for the serious astro-imagers.

Celestron EdgeHD Telescopes are available for order at OPT - www.optcorp.com !

  • I have CPC 925 and its fantastic.... also I have powerseeker 50 AZ and its very good too.. celestron is trully great... Meade too....

  • I was ordering one

  • get ready to chuck about $4000 down the drain if you want one=D

  • '

why this telescope body is too short,,,

    need little longer 45 inches

  • At 2:45 if can see the optic axis of the scope os not aligned. These are great scopes but very, very poor engeniered. The corrector usually looses aligment because the hole in the corrector glass is oversized for the secondary corretor and the corrector tends to loose aligment. In my C8 not even the primary was aligned and was glued with a rubber stuff...very poor indeed.

  • The only criticism I have about Fastar is when a camera is hooked up in this configuration, you can't use the scope for visual at all. Kinda of a drag, actually. Plus when the DSLR is hooked up as shown in this video, it blocks a large portion of the light entering the corrector lens. I'm curious... how much weight can the corrector lens support before it cracks? Some DSLR's like the D60 are quite heavy.

  • @hiian123

More aperture? Celestron has 8", 9.25", 11" and 14". Meade 8", 10" and 12". The coatings are comparable between the two, so are the tripods. Dual fork is good if you like Alt Azimuth mounts, but for astrophotography German EQ mounts are essential as they track the sky with better precision. I'm not saying the LX200 isn't a good 'scope, it is a good scope. But its overpriced and overrated... unless they keep giving away the Solarmax with every purchase, then its worth it.

  • @xbarman by that time there will be better ones :) dont forget to save some money for space flight !!!! that will be awesome

  • I promise my self that one day, when I get alot of money, I will buy the Edge HD 14' with a damn Apogee CCD camera. Damn
