I like it when people try something different. Having boys sing a song that's usually performed by girls (and them actually doing well) is something original --that's why it was a nice surprise.

So true. there are hardly any musicals out there with a cast of nearly all girls, like Annie. so why do boys have to steal it? they have plenty of boys musicals dont they?

I don't know why I'm so sensitive about this, but I just don't think that boys should sing songs from Annie, especially when they have their own musical to sing songs from. Annie is practically held sacred by little girls and women, which is why it's kind of annoying when boys sing the songs. Why can't they just stick to their own musical? Sorry, but that's just the way I feel about it.

Why? Hard Knock Life was written for girls, not boys. Why should it be a "nice surprise" to see boys perform a song that comes from a musical starring girls? Sorry, but songs like Hard Knock Life, and especially Tomorrow are sort of cherished by girls. Why do you want to take that away from us?
