Watch my 100 rejections at http://entresting.com or @jiajiang. See my followup visit to Jackie on Day 12 in my channel.
Day 3 of my rejection therapy, I asked Jackie at Krispy Kreme to make me doughnuts that look like Olympic Symbols. To my astonishment, she not only delivered, but showed me the determination and kindness that made me her fan. I tried to overcome my fear. Instead, I got hope.

From Jackie: her store gives her freedom to do whatever to ensure customer satisfaction, including giving away donuts.

For you: instead seriously talking to your employees, why don't you take the time to think about ways to make customers happy?

Yes, I guess that's possible. Well, I admire her creativity and ability to make the Olympic Rings. Thanks!

I'm sure she knows what she is doing, she probably has been working there for a while to accept this request, and so she knows the rules in that doughnut shop well. Many shops give out free stuff every now and then, it's not just her.

Ok, how bout a Jewelry shop? Should someone, say an employee be able to give away the product (jewelry or doughnuts) the store is selling? My point is that this young lady is a wonderful person, I think she is an angel, but what gives her the right to give away the product, especially to someone who never asks for anything free and who look affluent. If you ever build a business and put your trust in your employes, I hope they don't give away whatever you are selling when you are not there.

A donut shop is a donut shop, a bank is a bank, you can't compare them

That was a complete fail. You weren't trying hard enough to get rejected. You should have asked for them to be ready in 5 mins. :P

That is easy for you to say because you don't own the business, if you did, you might think differently about people giving away your products. The point I am making has nothing to do with the lady, it is about who has the right to give things away. If she worked in a bank you would look at this much differently. With respect, Ronnie.

You are a downer. It was such a weird request and there is no price for this item exactly. Your being hard headed, and refuse to see the good side. Why this, why that. How about why not? doughnut holes are given away all the time at my doughnut shops even though you can pay for them. This was probably a rare (1 time only request) that she will ever have. It was probably the rare time she did give something away. She was also having fun.
