http://www.billgentile.com/ In the spring of 2008 I was embedded with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (24th MEU) in Afghanistan's Helmand River Valley near the border with Pakistan. I was on assignment as a backpack video journalist for NOW on PBS, one of the last and best long-form news magazine programs on American television. New York Times photojournalist Tyler Hicks also accompanied the 24th MEU's Alpha Company as the Marines conducted a major operation in the area. I believe this video shows Tyler's professionalism, tenacity, and dedication to craft that have made him one of the top photojournalists in the world. Tyler is one of four New York Times employees captured recently by Libyan forces. The government of Libya has promised to release all four. I hope that happens very soon.

  • I honestly don't know what company makes that machine. But I suspect a call to B&H Photo in New York would certainly come up with the answer. Good luck.
