The founder of Def Jam Records Russell Simmons was interviewed on CNN's "American Morning". He was asked why he follows a vegan diet. He also discusses Barack Obama and yoga.

*note* Although Russell does follow a vegan diet he is not a vegan. He does wear leather.

You may be interested in reading some of James McMillan's "Eating Plants" website. He thinks that DIY (do it yourself) is a slippery slope toward desensitization, and psychological pathology. I agree. Heck there's people who've watched all of Earthlings and were unaffected. As long as someone else is doing the dirty work people are happy to bury the realities of animal use. Humans r quite a species, & nt in a gd way. Anyway, if u r vegan, thx 4 saving about a 100 animals a year. Peace
