@snoopatomicdog ...to put it nicely{lol},they sound so similar it's more like a "jack".rap was based on a great majority of soul,funk & disco songs of the early 70s up to the early 80's as well.

@taralo16 Cheryl Lynn actually looks up to Chaka Khan. Cheryl has an out of this world voice but is in NO way more versatile than Chaka. Have you heard Chaka's catalog of R&B, Funk, Rock, Jazz, Disco, Dance, and Gospel tunes? Better ask somebody...LOL!

She DID have a set of pipes !!!! People say Chaka Kahn and Patti LaBelle were the best, but Cheryl Lynn had a richer vocal quality I thought. Got To Be Real was a big hit record , but Starlove was her greatest song !!!!
This is one of the best disco songs of all time.
