wow your so last man, okay first you shouldnt use the bible as a retort when your wrong. god liked the smell of burning goats because it meant there was obedience. we don't have to do that now.gods judgment is divided between times of birth. if you were born before the ten commandments god judged your life, after, he judged on your discipline to gods will, and after the birth of jesus he will judge us on our repentance or the lack there of on your part.

It wasn't that just He enjoyed the smell of a dead goat, it was that God wanted them to rely on His provision instead of relying on an abundance of supplies. Proverbs 13 question - It doesn't say to beat your children, it says to discipline them. Does any sane parent beat their child constantly to discipline them? No. They only discipline them, not "beat" them.

Is Theologikos right? Was it the smell of burning goats that was an aroma pleasing to the Lord? Or is this yet another misunderstanding Theologikos.? Knowing a little bit more of the history and context of the book of Leviticus helps a great deal. An aroma pleasing to the Lord had nothing to do with smell but rather the actual sacrifice without blemish that was being offered in obedience for atonement of sin that was an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

It would be a mistake to take the book of Leviticus and study it standing on its own. It is embedded in a stream of history that begins in the five books of Moses and continues through the Old and New Testaments. It picks up where Exodus left off. The whole burnt offering was meant to atone and represented full obedience to God. In that time the sacrificed animal becomes a surrogate

. The presenter makes the a bull sacrifice on his behalf by laying his hand on its head. The bull is then accepted to make atonement. Atonement has in its meaning reparation for wrongdoing or wrongful damage. It also is about reconciliation between the wrongdoer and the one who was wronged
it is really difficult to fully grasp the meaning of Jesus life, ministry, and his crucifixion and resurrection without a deep understanding of sacrifice as described in Leviticus.

Now that Jesus came, we do not offer blood sacrifices any longer, its not needed.
as a Christian, we know that we are not under the Law, but under Gods grace through Jesus . Jesus gave himself wholly over in obedience to Gods will. He obeyed God the Father with his whole being, making himself subject to human weakness, to our temptations, and to death. He had to die, exposed on the cross for all to see, as an acceptable offering, pleasing to God

It was very costly, this sacrifice on our behalf. He was sacrificed at our own hands, to make atonement for our sin. He reconciled us to the Father and now those who humbly ask God to forgive them of their sins, repent of their sins and received Jesus as Lord and Savior will be saved, we are able to have a relationship with the Father. Then because of this undeserving gift, we can live a life of gratitude for the gift of a King.
