Exactly two years ago, in Buenos Aires, circumstances prevented Poirot from investigating the sudden death of the beautiful Iris Russell. Now he has the chance to try again, this time in London, when a yellow iris, mysteriously left on his doorstep, alerts Poirot that the killer may strike once more.

  • "I have to telephone my stockbroker in London before he goes to bed." ...If it's night in Argentina, it's morning in England #fail

  • Who is the lady singing the song? And what is the name of the song. I have always loved this performance when I used to watched Poirot on A & E. Too bad they took it off cable. They need to bring it back!

  • What a clever way of sneaking some humor into this episode with the Belgian Embassy. Kudos!

  • @topsyish Haha, ok, my mistake. I never read 'The Yellow Iris' so that's why I thought they had twisted the story into this. I'd sure love to see them do 'Sparkling Cyanide' as well. Thank you for your reply!

  • @therodent7 In a way you are right she used the same device in "Sparkling Cyanide" but this is based on a short story she wrote called "The Yellow Iris" - part of a collection of short stories called "The Regatta Mystery and other stories". Unfortunately it probably means that they will never make "Sparkling Cyanide"!

  • I have read the book that this movie was based on, and Poirot wasn't even in it!

The book is called 'Sparkling Cyanide' and it is nothing like, or almost nothing like this movie. This movie is still nice though.

  • Ercles Poiro

  • @MsVictoria881 ahahaha I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT! :D that was so friggin funny... the DESPAIR in his voice haha ;)
