We learn a probabilistic model of structural and semantic dependencies between components of 3D shapes, to provide relevant suggestions during assembly-based 3D modeling.

  • @197022007: Yes, great point, we did think of that and are excited about the possibility! There's the interesting question of whether this is most effective on a global or per-user basis. We would need lots of user data (possibly from release of the app) to demonstrate convincing improvements, though. It's in the works.

    @PriestBurn: We hope to release the app at some point: online or otherwise.

  • would be cool to see some kind of online model assembler site where one can edit existing models - profit?

  • Now I never saw that before...

  • Don't throw away the user data! use it to create more useful ordering and suggestion in the next user's creation process!
