The fact that Mark used Killing Joke makes me respect him even more.

@Bourbonbosher How ignorant. I have worked in Africa for the past 3 and half years. Congo is in civil war with the lordies, Zim has hardly any game reserves and Rwanda is unsafe with fuck all to do so don't pretend you know ANYTHING about Africa and fill peoples heads with your uneducated and misinformed opinions. If anything visit Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania and even Malawi and Zambia but they aren't as nice as the first three.

Keep up the fight for freedom across the pond my British cousins! never give up the fight to INFORM the citizenry at large about what is coming, and NEVER give up your pound sterling for the euro it will in effect be the DEATH of your national sovereignty!

@whatisitfawlty: Are you armed? I am. I don't believe my country should sell arms to repressive regimes, MAYBE to free countries so long as there's complete legislative oversight... You might want to ask yourself why you condone your nation selling guns to repressive regimes overseas when you're not even allowed one to defend your household. peace

why are so many people calling this guy an idiot? COINTELPRO style shills? He's a comedian and political activist in the UK, why don't you TAKE THE BLINDERS OFF and watch the British documentary "Taking Liberties"

I saw this when it first aired an have been looking for this for so long, could only describe what I remembered to friends.
We certainly need more people like Mark Thomas. He's like a more politically active latterday Bill Hicks. I've been a fan for years, ever since the first MTCP series and I hope he continues to annoy the hell out of all the right people for many years to come.

I feel you're missing the point slightly. What the book exposes is the truth of the arms industry which is subsidised by the British taxpayer, fraught with loopholes, complacency and greed. If you feel comfortable about arms being manufactured and sold to corrupt regemes to displace and kill innocent people fair enough....I hear The Congo, Rwanda and Zimbabwe are lovely places to visit for a holiday, why not pop over and teach the orphend and disabled children there your stance on the suject.
