Some fun runs with my friends seeing how his AWD turbo civic stood up to the vette. The civic's launches are definitely strong!

  • idk if you still lookat this vid but what kind of tires are you running on the civic at the time of this race?

  • BAHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA this just made my night. bed time. gotta love the H badge

I know i know, c5 was gaining, but C'MON...... lol

  • hahah that shit issick

  • @dah8rsluvme I had an intake on it - they dyno 95 or so stock and about 100-105 with intakes so I think 100 is safe to say....what you are saying is contradictory - if it wasnt built right it would post big numbers or even run right....if it makes 220whp then its running fine and should propel the car fine unless there are trans issues...built ITR head in an EG should be 12s with traction - case closed - anything less means a problem - suspension setup/driver/tires etc...its been done so much

  • @dah8rsluvme Well there are many factors in drag racing - the most obvious is DA - depending on time of yeat that alone is a MAJOR swing in ETs - secondly were the slicks condition - rotted slicks suck - baby slicks suck too so maybe his slicks were too small at 220whp or rotted/cold...alot of factors...his suspension setup - traction bars or lack thereof - his launch technique/clutch release - it takes quite a few passes to get used to big changes and dialing in the car is a science

  • another friend did a b20vtec same head build same track hitting 15.3 making over 200whp and den put some 11.5:1 cp pistons in and did 13.2... all im saying hp aint shit if u dont know how to build it rite...

  • all im saying is he raced it at fontanaspeedway in cali when he first did da swap and did 13.3 with bolt ons tuned on crome... a year after he did a head build wid BC4 cams tune again on crome making around 220 whp took it back to the track with same slicks and hit 13.5... explain that?? same car driver track...

  • @Servicemember80 so ur saying dat a d16y7 has 106 crank and 100wheel?? all im saying if u dont know how to build ur engine properly den all that hp aint sh*t... 13.3 jdm itr in eg on slicks with bolt on so i wouldn't say dat its da driver bekos its da same driver driving da same car engine with a built head and stock bottom block...

  • @dah8rsluvme 100whp to 165...how is that close to 90whp? I can say it because I did it...WTF run properly with his bottom block? If it wasnt in sync the motor would destroy itself and 220whp and 13s would be AWFUL in an EG unless he is blowing tiny street tires off the whole way down....driver mod FTW....can you go from 13 to 10s with 70whp NOOOOO because its a progressive curve - as speed increases you need MORE and more power to go faster

  • @evilevo420 We built a hatch in 2002 that had about 210-215whp that ran high 11's on slicks...Ks making 250whp with even more torque...stock block...K20Rs with ITBs/header and tunes are making 240-250whp...2 years ago a guy made 286hp on stock block K20a motor - dynapack dyno so take about 5% off for dynojet number so 271ish NA - 11s...I dont expect you to follow NA Hondas but just because you dont know - doesnt mean it isnt so - 300-330 = 10s at street weight
