This is a poem written for the memory of our Koshe7 massacre Martyrs in Egypt in 2000.
Dhimmis are the Jews and Christians who do not believe in Mohammed {prophet of Islam} and deny him. This is because Allah has declared that Jews and Christians are infidels in Koran {holy book of Islam} - Al-Taubah 9: 30 -31, (December 2000: 20 Copts burned to death by Muslims in El Kosheh, Shouag Egypt).
Over the past fourteen Hundred years Coptic Christians in Egypt endured all forms of discrimination exerted by Muslim extremists. Since the Arab envision to Egypt in 650 AD, Copts have been always terrorized by Islamists fundamentals. Copts have compelled by Muslim leaders to relinquish their native Coptic language and adopt the Arabic one. They have been called by Al Azhar (the most prominent Islamic institution In Egypt) as infidels and rouges elements because of religion. They also have been subjected to all kind of hate crimes including, the abduction of young Coptic girls, the killing of Coptic Women and children and the destruction of their places of worship.
Over the past forty years, the government of Egypt has endorsed and fostered an environment of Islamic radicalism to recruit more Muslim fundamentals. This phenomenon played a key role to force Islam on Coptic girls and enhance the isolation of the Coptic community in Egypt. As a result of citing in the constitution that Islam is the main source of legislation in Egypt, Coptic Christians has lost the freedom of religion including the right to build churches and the right to worship in a free respect.
During the 80s and under the Mubarak administration, Islamic militants instigated several violent episodes against the Copts and western tourists, attacked, sacked and burned churches and Coptic businesses.
During the recent package of constitutional reform that took place in 2007 Mubarak did not insert any constitutional provisions that enhance the rights of Christians in Egypt. On the contrary, he kept the provision that emphasizing the role of Islam as the main source of legislation.
A Christian can not testify in the courts against a Muslim. No Christians is in a government leadership position except two cabinet members. There is only one Christian appointed a province governor position among thirty province governors. There are no Christians appointed as police commissioner, city manager or any of their commissioner. There is no Christian who is manager of state-controlled company or a university president or dean. Only two Christians serve as ambassadors. There are no Copts in the top 160 government positions and they are told that there is no promotion before converting into Islam.
Our Principles: Resolution
We believe that:
Coptic Christians do not affiliate with the Arabic ethnicity. And reject the last constitution amendment in article 1 because they have the Egyptian nationality only.
Arabic and Coptic should be the two official languages for Egypt. Copts should be guaranteed the right to educate their children in their mother tongues in government educational institutions, or in private educational institutions, according to educational regulations.
The Egyptian constitution should guarantee the Coptic Identity of the Egyptian Christian minority in addition to full religious rights, freedom of creed and religious practices.
The Egyptian Constitution should adopt a constitutional provision that calls for the separation between religion and state. In addition to the abolishment of article 2 of the Egyptian constitution that declare Islam as the main source of legislation.
The Egyptian armed forces and security apparatuses civil and political positions should encompass an effective presentation of Coptic Christians without any form of discrimination or exclusion.
Coptic Egyptians condemn the abduction and obligatory conversion of hundreds of Coptic Christian girls to Islam.
Shut down Al-Azhar school and Al-Azhar University from where terrorism starts -- this Islamic religious school in Egypt graduates thousands of students each year and send them to the whole world teaching violence and injustice. God in Islam tells Mohammed to kill whoever rejects Islam (chapter 2, Verse 193).
