George Gillan 1940-2009
View photographs of dad to the tune of Annie Laurie, mum and dad often sang this song as a duet.
1. Of all in earth or Heaven,
The dearest name to me
Is the matchless name of Jesus,
The Christ of Calvary.
The Christ of Calvary,
The dearest name to me
Is the matchless name of Jesus,
The Christ of Calvary.
2. I cannot help but love him,
And tell his love to me;
For he became my ransom,
The Christ of Calvary.
3. I could not live without him,
His love is life to me;
My blood-bought life I give him
The Christ of Calvary
George was great and the corps will miss him dearly:(:(

A TOP uncle!
I am sorry I cannot make the funeral; I loved my uncle George growing up :)
He rubbed his tuble into my face so much it hurt!!
My earliest childhood memory - apporx 5yrs old is holding hands with my uncle George over a scary wooden bridge somewhere in Scotland. I think it may have been Oban?
