@LastTree Hey , I want to apologize for saying The Troggs were retiring as a live act , as it turns out , what I heard was wrong . They have several dates coming up , including next Friday , if you go to The Troggs' main website. It may be that they have an eye on retiring , but they have yet to. Reg told me , when I interviewed them , "You can go away from it for a month , and when you come back to it , you just have NERVES , and you just sort of GO for it , that's how it's always been".

@LastTree Really , OOOOHHHH , NO !!!!!! But , if it's true , those men worked harder than any five bands , and deserve a break. Who knows what 'll happen next ?

@pfordsq Oh no!

@LastTree I saw The Troggs in NYC in 2000. They were ON FIRE. No oldies/cabaret mentality bullshit , just pure , balls - out rockin'. They came back a few years later to play at Little Steven's outdoor festival (2004 , I believe.) , and did a promo performance of "Wild Thing" in the street , as well. But , I think they've only played on the East Coast in the last 10 to 20 years , probably few or no other US dates. Sadly , I also heard they've retired from performing.

The hotshots today get incredible play.....from their current album! And then it all disappears from the waves. Great Bands and singers will have such quality material that at least one or two songs will be taken off a recording collection and continued to be played along side any new stuff, and this process continues throughout their career until they retire and have a reliable greatest hits that is already in steady rotation.
In 5 yrs U will find Troggs before Justin T and Jonas

Good thing they still kept it simple without much orquestation or other things, but where are the Burns Bass and the Grestch guitar? that guitar is much too small and the headless bass no, no, just kidding, great group, much under apreciated, actually forerunners of pop-punk, GO TROGGS!

He sounds the same! Awesome!

Great to see this group still playing. I just found this group a week or so ago here and love the "with a girl like you" vid from 66 or 67.
Thanks for posting this video.

He looks the same..love that little head bobbing..wish they'd come to NYC.

I saw The Troggs play a date in Aldershot in 1966 as a first concert date with my new girlfriend. We have been married for 40 years this month and The Troggs are still my favorites.
