When veteran fisherman Robert T. Kristjanson first encountered sprawling algae blooms on Lake Winnipeg, nobody would listen to his claims the lake was under threat. That is, until marine biologist Al Kristofferson came along. This short film explores how solutions can be born of unlikely partnerships, and how The Lake Winnipeg Research Consortium works tirelessly to protect the tenth largest great lake in the world.
