  • @Shamyrl Thanks for the advice. I was looking at a bmi graph, and noticed that 135 is the median weight for the "healthy" range. Thats why I said 135.

    I also said 135, because I'm aiming for a more lean, cut swimmers body that is swole but not massive

    135 at 5'7is way too small bro. I'm about the same height and used to be 135, and trust me that weight doesn't look right on a guy. Try to get to a lean 150. Don't stop weight training because you want to keep your lean muscle mass. Focus on your diet, cut down on the carbs and fats and eat more protein. Do about 20 to 30 minutes of cardio 4 times a week and you should be good by the summer.

  • I am kind of confused guys. My info is: height: 5'7, weight: 170lbs., target weight (for a BMI of 21) is 135 lbs, so I need to lose 35lbs. I am slightly overweight here, so I need to do a minor cut...

    If I have been seriously lifting for a while now, are you guys saying that I will lose all that progress trying to get lean? If yes, should I just stop lifting and focus solely on cardio to cut and then lift after im done cutting?

  • @zipzap240 dont completely cut carbs out, you need them to restore glycogen in your muscles and without it you would lose a lot of mass, just eat them around exercise (before and after) just about 200 calories of carbs pre and post workout. maybe more if you are doing legs or a lot of sets. but yeah if you get down to where you wanna be and adjust your diet to just maintenance calories you should be good. probly wanna eat more protein though

  • @xgm4life idk about creatine i dont take it, but i think you still take it not sure. but yeah keep wroking out as you did before. you should eat the same amount of calories but do more cardio say like 40 minutes a day of walking on a treadmill w/ incline and a brisk pace (about 4 mph). Start off slow though do like 20 min for 3 days 30 min for 3 days and then 40 for the rest of your cut

  • could you still eat slow carbs and go under 10-12 procent body fat if you do alot of cardio, and if sow when you are on the weight you wanne be in,lets say 8 procent, and than storp the cardio and adjust the calories to maintain that specific weight you wanne bee in, anybody?=)
