@tripfunkmonster I have my own opinions as well. The only administrations I've been able to watch personally were the Bush era and the Obama era, they largely used the same kind of economic policy besides the "Bush Tax cuts for the corporate jet set evil capitalists". Both their policies advocated increased government spending and it is a failure. Go read Road to Serfdom by Hayek. That's what I read.

@ajdavidson11292: I try not to hate on people because I know how difficult it is to sift through the bullshit and find truth. I actually get a lot of my information from books by people who like Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton & Bush Jr. I usually don't agree with their conclusions but get info from them. I make my own decisions on these matters. It's important to have your own opinion - not someone else's. I graduated school while Carter was pres. & paid attention in the 80's while others did coke.

@ajdavidson11292: Inflation is manipulated by the Fed - the most dangerous crime organization in the world. I'm not being funny or overzealous - they are BAD NEWS. They manipulate the market to suit their needs (corporate elite). Also, the CIA didn't like Carter (he tried to stop drug $ funded black ops) and rooted for their own man - George Bush Sr. They didn't even like Reagan at first because he spoke of peace. But things changed & they got their hooks into him & installed puppet gov'ts.

@ajdavidson11292: I missed this comment - it wasn't with the other. There are lots of factors in the issue of inflation. When Carter went to DC, he was what most Americans want today - something different. He wanted good things but DC insiders didn't like an outsider coming into THEIR TOWN & changing the way they did things. Reagan came in & brought things back to the way they were - self entitlement. It wasn't Reagan himself, it was the administration being run by Wall St., just like today.

As far as economic policies - how can you talk about the boom from 1983-early '87 (I assume you're referring to) without talking about the record (at the time) crash in October 1987 and the resulting bailout of Wall St.? Half truths are disingenuous. I grew up republican but kept my mind open and saw the truth. Don't root for parties like sports teams.

@tripfunkmonster Funnily I'm from California so I've been exposed to the view against Reagan since the time was born, but most of these views aren't substantiated by any facts. Ronald Reagan did some good things like lower the corporate tax rate, bring down inflation that was 12% in the Carter years to 4.4% at the end of his presidency. @ajdavidson11292: What do you know about that era? Were you around back then? Are you a Reagan fan? If you are, you don't know what those criminals did. You only know the propaganda - of which there is tons floating around. The Wall St. apologists for the Reagan Crime Syndicate have been working fulltime for 3 decades. There's a lot to apologize for.
