Tales from the Shadow Realm: First Sequence (1oo% Generally Absurd!) -- A short film by Emil Karim

This is a short film I shot, wrote, directed and edited over my winter break, Dec. 23, 2011 to (day this was posted), with my little sister.

It took about 3 hours, tops, to write and shoot. The rest of the time was spent editing (took so long because I was trying to get a decent picture while also learning new tricks and techniques at the same time).

This is, overall, my third effort as an "aspiring filmmaker". I feel this is my best effort so far, but I would LOVE some constructive criticism in regards to my technique. I tried a lot of new things here that I have not done before; like "triangular shooting," I think it's called, for the discussion, as well as the final scene where I (SPOILERS) get whacked.

I used a Canon Vixia HF R10 with a Zoom H1 audio recorder. (Also the first time using audio NOT from the camera itself!)
