Special Relationship - The Sandbaggers

This clip is the final scenes of this episode in which a photo technician in East Berlin has valuable images to sell. The trouble is, the East German secret police may be on to him. A Sandbagger is sent to Berlin to obtain the photographs but is captured.

There is a slight similarity to 'The Spy who Came in from the Cold' when Laura Dickens is killed at the end. The price that the spies put on human life and honesty is constantly in flux.

What is even more bizarre is that the Cold War is not actually over. Just because the Soviet Union does not exist anymore does not mean that its remnant - i.e., Russia - is not spying anymore. Ditto the CIA, MI6, Mossad, etc. They are still in the game only now the Chinese have joined in too, especially with regard to industrial espionage. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Not so bizarre when you think about it.
